Our goal is to empower children and their families by providing free educational resources that guide them in effectively advocating for their medical needs. These resources include informative presentations, reading materials, and personalized coaching, available both in person and virtually.
Through these tools, we help families navigate their patient rights, build strong partnerships with medical providers, and make the most of their insurance coverage. We also offer referrals to other organizations that can provide additional support tailored to their specific needs. Our mission is to equip families with the knowledge and confidence to ensure their child receives the best possible care.

We achieve this by facilitating open, clear communication between families and their children's medical providers, ensuring that parents and caregivers are empowered with the information they need to make informed decisions. We also organize social events that raise awareness and offer families meaningful opportunities to forge new relationships and strengthen existing ones, creating a sense of belonging and shared experience.
Additionally, we provide hands-on, practical support for families navigating hospitals and other medical settings, offering emotional encouragement and hope during challenging times. Our goal is to help families feel supported, heard, and uplifted as they face the hurdles of their child's medical journey, ensuring they never walk alone.
We take each request to heart and approach every case with careful attention and intentionality. We are here to support families in need of resources, including adaptive equipment, co-pay assistance, financial aid for outpatient therapies, and other medical treatments—just to name a few.
Assistance is dependent on the availability of funds through fundraising, sponsorships, and generous private donors. We understand that every child’s needs are unique, and we are committed to doing our very best to meet those needs with compassion and care.
The Bumble Bridge
The Bumble Bridge program supports children with special needs and developmental delays who are transitioning from West Virginia Birth to Three (WVBTT) and are in the process of securing a spot in Jefferson County’s special needs preschool. This crucial period is a time when consistent care and therapy are essential to avoid regression of milestones and ensure continued progress. To meet this need, our nonprofit partners with a variety of organizations, as well as licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists, to provide personalized therapy services. These collaborations ensure that children receive the ongoing, specialized treatment they need to thrive as they prepare for the next phase of their educational journey.
Blue Line Hive
The Blue Line Hive program is committed to supporting children with complex special needs of current and former law enforcement officers. These children face a range of challenges, from critical illnesses and genetic conditions to epilepsy, all while managing the unique pressures of having a parent in law enforcement. We provide personalized resources, emotional support, and community-building opportunities to help both children and their families find stability and strength. Through continuous, tailored support, our mission is to empower these children to thrive, no matter the obstacles, and remind families that we’ve got their six every step of the way.
Honeybee Helpers
The Honeybee Helpers program is a one-of-a-kind initiative designed to provide support, trust, and community for caregivers and children with special needs. Just like a beehive thrives through collaboration and care, our program brings together families, trusted caregivers, and professionals to create a strong, supportive network. We understand the unique challenges of raising children with complex special needs, which is why we focus on helping parents feel comfortable and confident with their caregivers, offering them the peace of mind they deserve. Through personalized resources, emotional support, and a nurturing environment, we give parents the opportunity to recharge and focus on their well-being, while ensuring their children continue to receive the care they need. Our goal is to empower both children and parents, allowing them to thrive together, supported by a community built on trust, understanding, and love.
